I purchased a Sprint LG Tribute phone. I do not wish to activate the phone but use the phone for wi-fi.
I was able to set up my Google information and get to the home screen but when the home screen comes up it loads a hands free activation screen that says activate or emergency call. If I wait until it it tries 5 times the pop up window will disappear allowing me to continue as normal but it's very annoying to have to go through the wait. Is their any way to bypass this. I've read their is a way to remove the feature but it requires rooting which I do not wish to do.
The sim card is still installed in the phone. I removed the card and tried again but still got the same hands free activation.
