Calendar and To-Do app?

I'm curious if the Droid has an app similar to blackberry's calendar and to-do/planner app. I want a calendar app to keep track of my appointments, and then I want a planner/to-do app to keep track of various assignments.

I really like Droid because it seems good, and has a good developer kit, but I'm trying to pick between Droid and Blackberry for a phone.

ERIS has a built in calendar that will sync with google calendar/synced with gmail, etc. You can even share your calendar with other people, and vice versa. Simple repeating events can be made from the phone but more complex repeating events have to be made from a pc...so far.

I'm more or less looking at the Android by Motorola. I'm having 2nd thoughts about getting a droid phone.

It depends what you are using as your "to do" list and what you are using as your calendar. In the past I have always used Outlook Calendar and Tasks for these items on my Blackberries due to the synchronization with Outlook. For Android really the only application that does a good job with this is Touchdown which is $20 (there is a 5 day demo, at the end of the demo I think you can still receive and look at items but can't send or change anything). It does everything the blackberry does with Outlook except for the memopad/notes synchronization and also you can't add categories to Tasks (I think both of these are coming in a future release).

However, if you don't use both of the above, you maybe can use combination of the Calendar app for Google Calendar, and something like Astrid.

Astrid, if you use your google calendar, or google apps calendar

I looked at Astrid and it does what I want. I've got the two basic needs taken care of with android.

I got the Motorola Droid and I couldn't be happier! Thanks guys!
