Calendar app

Hi

I have just upgrade from Android 1.5 to Android 2.1. I find that the new default Calendar app is not as good as the 1.5 one as entries cannot be edited. Is there a way I would install the 1.5 calendar app on my 2.1 phone. If so, how do I do this and where can I get the old app? If not, can anyone recommend a similar free Calendar app.

Entries cannot be edited? I don't understand this, they can be. Click 'Menu>edit'.

If you call up a past message which has gone, in order to edit it, Menu-Edit does not work on the new Android Calendar - you only get Add Reminder - Delete Event and Share V Calendar. I could do these before on the old Android.
