Help Calendar / datetime / reminder software suggestions

Hello, not sure where to post this, and am open to many suggestions, I will probably be getting a new phone in the relatively near future, so if anyone knows how things work on a different phone/whatever let me know.

currently I have an honor 7 lite with EMUI version 5.0.4 and android version 7.0

I was recently trying to change date time format to yyyy-mm-dd and I can't find anything how to do it with google. I found some people saying you have to change locale, but can't find any way to make a custom locale for the settings I want (. as decimal separator, yyyy-mm-dd date format, correct english spell checking, more important is yyyy-mm-dd date format)

does someone know another way to change this?

I'm also looking for calendar/reminder software and was thinking it would make sense to ask for suggestions on this, what I am trying to find is something that:
on android can open by pressing date on swipe screen
display week numbers
sync with reliable reminder (popup notification at specific time every week/month/year or one-off) software for windows

and that is about all that I want
it doesn't seem like much, but it seems that asking for any of these things is a huge thing to ask for an android to do, which I thought was supposed to be the customizable phone

anyway, thanks for any help anyone is able to provide, sorry for the rambling

Welcome to Android Forums, javascripter!

What you're after for the date should be doable...but I don't know how.

I say it should be doable because I'm a Linux person, and all things are possible on Linux--and since Android is a Linux, it should be doable. Maybe by rooting? I don't do that any more; very few of us here do. But let's wait and see if anyone else can help.

You're on a pretty old Android version; perhaps someone on a newer version can help. I'm on 8.0.0 and there's nothing in my System Settings or Developer Options for setting the date format as you want.

Your other objective...I have no clue! But someone else might. Hang in there. :)

Auto-correct is a function of the keyboard app, though if it's smart enough to check system settings then find "languages and input" there and set your preference accordingly (mine is "English (United Kingdom)"). There's also (on my Android 10 phone) a "spell checker" setting in there, which I also set to UK English (though I suspect that's really a setting for the built-in keyboard, which I don't use).

As for setting ISO time format, I can't find anything on mine. Mind you I'm using a Pixel, and Google actually are not good at offering options and customisation - they take a "we know what you want" attitude (I sometimes think they really want to be Apple...).
