Calendar doesn't sync between tablet and smartphone

Hi,

My calendar on my Samsung galaxy s3 doesn't sync with my acer iconia a500. I have checked every setting and it just won't work.

On my s3 I use s planner, which is also sync with Google calendar (works flawless). On my iconia a500 I use Google calendar, but my appointments from the s3 won't show up.

Both devices are synced with the same Gmail.

Any help is welcome.

First thing I’d try, on either or both, is settings> apps> manage> all> calendar storage> clear data

Common mistake on Samsung devices is that when making a new appointment on it, they save it to 'My Calendar' instead of your Google ID. Double check if your appointments appear on Google Calendar on a PC. If they don't then that's your likely problem.

You are right, it doesn't show up on google calendar on my pc, I'll see if I can fix that.

Strange enough is that I made an appointment on my tablet to see if this one syncs, but it doesn't show up on my pc either.

Ok, what you do is next time you make an appointment is change the calendar. The topmost field, it's probably set to 'My Calendar'. Tap that and select your Google ID so that it will sync.

I feel stupid thank you, that solved my problem.
