Calendar double entries

This has sort of been asked before, but it has not been answered. So, trying again.

There are occasions where I create a new entry in my calendar on the phone and I end up with 2 entries for the same date and time.

This is something I cannot seem to replicate intentionally.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Has anyone noticed this and figured out why it happens?

How can I set the refresh interval for syncing my phone with Google online? I know I can go through settings......google.... and press menu > sync now, but how can I decide how often the phone does this automatically?

Any update to the duplicate entries problem? I usually get double entries, but today, when adding an event to my calendar, it showed up three times....

The same thing has been happening to my calendar, but with birthdays instead of all events. Facebook calendar is disabled, but I still get duplicate birthdays.

Did you ever find a solution?
