calendar event colours

Hi guys.

Just wondering about calendar sync. I have an HTC desire. Using Google calendar and smooth calendar on phone. I want to know how come my event colours that are one colour on Google don't sync that colour onto phone. For example work on Google is blue and bill payments and such are red. When I sync these to my phone they all have the same colour a light blue. Is there an easy "free" fix??

I also download the app set calendar colours but that changes all the events to one colour.
