Calendar search

Hi everyone.

I'm currently looking into adding calendar search to the Android quick search bar through my free app Searchify (see the Searchify website).

Searchify currently lets you do things like wikipedia search, calculation and translation from the search bar, so calendar searching would be a good fit.

If anyone would be interested in this calendar search feature, I've just got a few questions for you:

1) would you want to search future events only, or would you also want to search past events?

2) would you want to search just the event title, or the location as well, or the description as well?

3) would it be important to be able to select which calendars are searched, or would that not matter?

1). past and future.... I mainly search for past items...must be my dementia...
2). I'd definitely like to search all fields
3). Wouldn't matter, as long as it didn't take too too long to search all calendars, that's what I'd prefer.

4). I hope to have at least 1.6 someday, so I can actually try out your app :)

1. All events; sometimes I need to find out when I'd had a meeting, sometimes I need to see when one is coming up.

2. For me, just the title is sufficient, since I rarely use the other fields.
3. Anything that's showing up on the device's calendar -- for me, that's three calendars (Google, holidays, and birthdays).

Thanks for the comments guys.

For (1) I guess I'll have to add searching for both past and future events. I'm thinking there should be options for how far in the past or future to look.

For (2) it's looking like it might be difficult to do searching of event descriptions. Will just title and location be good enough?

Any other suggestions please say!
