Help calendar sync

I have my default account set up as my Yahoo account, and it shows up as "Samsung" in the menu. Events from all my other accounts show up - like birthdays - except for the Dr fault account. Do I need to turn something else on?

You need to go into the calander settings then calenders and select the accounts you require to see. Note when you make a entry on the calander select the calander account you want to use. This is important if you use your gmail or yahoo account to sync/back up your calander entry's, one great feature with the gmail account is syncing two gmail calander accounts. My wife and I use this so we don't double book calander events. Hope this info helps

I have droid razr max. the ICS update took out my calendar that syncs with my computer. I can put calendar event into phone and it shows up on my computer. However, the calender items on my computer will not update onto my phone.

Sorry I thought you had a galaxy s2 or s3. I use the web based Google calander to sink with, I'm not sure if the calander on my galaxy s3 is the same as your droid razar. I would of thought it is the same set up tho?

I do have an S3. I have gone into calendar and then calendar settings in the menu. It has all my accounts with the correct email. For example, my work account shows up as a Microsoft Exchange and the email. However, my default account, Yahoo, is associated with the "Samsung calendar" and it has my Yahoo email. I also have gone into "Settings" and selected the checkbox to sync the Yahoo calendar. I don't know where else to look.

Have you synced all your accounts in the main settings. Press menu, settings, accounts and sync. You can turn on sync there as well as go in to each account and select what you want to sync I.e calander, contacts etc.... other than that I'm not sure, like I said I use a Google account for my calander but yahoo might be different?

Sorry carrying on from what I was saying above, the Samsung account won't sync with your yahoo account. You have to have a yahoo account in accounts and sync.

Put it this way, I have a Google account, that Google account is on its own in the accounts and sync settings. I added my Google account and my calander runs from that not my Samsung account.

Thanks. That's good to know. Is the problem my Yahoo account, or that it is linked as my Samsung account? In other words, should I de-link my Yahoo account as the default, and will that allow it to update? I have a gmail account, but it'll be a pain to switch all my emails. Can I import my calendar into gmail and just use gmail as my calendar?

I've found that using the Samsung account a bit pointless because I have never been able to find out if the info is backed up anywhere. By the sounds of it you use the calendar in the web based yahoo as well as on your phone so the Samsung is of no use to you.

I think that using the gmail account you have for your calendar sounds the best bet. Unless you can link them on the web based sites, there might be some help in yahoo's support.

I'll have look and come back with what I find.

Ok I've found a app called "smoothsync for yahoo calendar" it cost £2 from Google play. It has some good reviews, but would read all the app info and reviews before paying, just to make sure it's what your after.
