calendar syncs japanese calendar

So I just factory defaulted my phone cause it was running really slow. But once I got it up and running, I went to my calendar and noticed that it was showing all japanese holidays and not the american. I can turn off the visual and the sync but I don't know how to change it to american. if anyone knows how to do this it would be greatly appreciated.

What phone is this? Google calendar does not show holiday by default.
