anyone know how to sync the android calendar to my calendar in microsoft outlook? used to use a blackberry and it worked great with their desktop software, is anything like this available?

You can use the Kies software to backup your calendar with outlook.

Had the same problem with my tab2 and Outlook 2007. The customer service I talked to yesterday said that I need Outlook 2010 in order for it to work. Has anyone found another solution so I don't have to buy a new expensive Office software to sync?

Use the Google calendar sync software. Just do a Google search for sync Google calendar to outlook. It should be one of the first results.
