Sadly WiMax is still a Year away. Though I'm hoping Fl is one of those states on the first check list. However, the Hero is not WiMax compatible.

Haha!
My t-mo contract exp. in Nov. I'm going to wait and see what the Instinct Q brings.
Just wish one could truly multitask on Sprint's network.
. I don't know if anybody in this thread has an android phone but it uses the internet for a lot of things such as (Widgets: weather, mail, facebook, tweeter, clock, search, stocks) then you have the browser, maps, amazon mp3, google talk, gmail, market, etc...... Also what about the Sprint stuff like NFL, Nascar, Sprint TV and Navigation. All those need internet access do they all get shut down or do you not get your calls while they're on?????
. Anyways I already unlocked my phone and installed the HTC Sense UI on my Google Ion and I have to say it's pretty nice, way better than the stock Android I've been using for 10 months. So I think when Sprint does finally lets us Android users surf and talk then I switch for sure
I can receive email while on a call.
Is this a US specific issue? I don't fully understand your networks out there.........
That wouldn't be possible on Sprint's CDMA NetworkIf you're running programs in the background it doesn't affect your ability to receive calls. However, when you're on a call you won't be able to browse the web or send/receive text and e-mails.
you can send/recieve text
since forever!
i've been doing that for... years?
the whole time i've had treos! for sure!
Since when?
