Help Call history timestamps

Ive searched around and everything relating to "timestamps" were all about SMS.

Ive got a Droid Pro and when I go to my call log (doesnt matter if its recent, missed, outgoing, or incoming) it will not display a time/date. Its a generic "10 mins ago" or "yesterday" or "4 days ago" ect ect.

I would really like to be able to see the date/exact time they called me, I think it would be much nicer. Ive looked at possible setting in the phone and didnt come across any options to change it.

Ive heard people with other models, when they are in the call log, can tap on the call in question and it will bring up a date/time/call length. If I click on a call from the log, it will just take me to that contacts info from my contacts library.

Any ideas or possible apps that might be good?
 
Only way I've found to do this is by pulling up the recent call log and clicking on that contact, then swiping right to see more call detail.
 
Ok i just double checked mine and it will show the time if its same day.

But i really dont understand why they chose to make things like that. EVERY phone ive ever owned would always show the date and time the call was at. I just dont understand and I would really like to have that back lol
 
Never tried a third party dialer app. I'm sure there's some good ones out there - try looking in the app forum here.
 
Pretty frustrating... I use the timestamp for billing purposes and only thing I have is the date and how long the call was live. Not finding a good free app, but I did find an $8.99 app called BizLog that has all the details we need. It won't go backwards and collect data, but will log calls going forward.
 
Like any new piece of technology...we all have to get used to them if we want to play with the new toys... it doesnt bother me much, but it does give you about a week of calls that says 4,5,6 days ago... but once past 6-7 days it will give you an actual month a date.

If it's that important, why not use your bill that has itemized logs?

Hmm I might look into that.

I just rooted my phone and have a free app store now :)


Where in Sac are you from? Im currently in Citrus Heights.
