Call recording apps

pewe

Newbie
I have an Xiaomi smartphone which came with a pre-installed app for which automatically records telephone calls.
The problem is that the programme only records calls placed through the network carrier.

I also have on my phone an app which can be used to make calls over WiFi (but the calls are linked to my home landline account).

I have tried a couple of other recording apps, but none of them record the microphone when a wifi call is active, or using the app during the call interferes with call functions such as keypad options.

Can anyone recommend a recorder app that works with wifi calls????

I am using ACR Call Recorder,

it don't care what carrier you are on, if you make or receive a call, it gets recorded.

and I like the options it avails to you.
  • storage: internal or extSDcard
  • the Cloud
  • via email
  • Works with BlueTooth headsets, which is extremely important for me.

I use all three, as a lot of my calls are extremely important to me.

this is the free version, I upgraded to the Pro version to get all of the above features.

Yeah, the stock Xiaomi call recorder is part of the system phone app, and so it will only record calls made via the network, and not VOIP, etc.

Thanks guys,

Unfortunately I have already tried that app - it didn't work with the call app I have.

The call app I am trying to record is a TalkTalk app '- Talk2Go' - and using it did not initiate a recording in ACR.

oh, I glossed over "network carrier" which is the only way that I make/take calls.

you are going to need an app that will record media and invoke it manually.

I just did that with MacroDroid

Trigger: Application Launched
select application: WhatsApp
Action: Application Launched
select applications: Voice Recorder

named it and checked it out.... works okay for me.

now, for you, you need to verify that your recording app will record both sides of an apps audio paths...

It may not work properly if you do not have root. Your route-rights work properly?
