Call Rewards, the app that earns you money whenever you make a phone call.

London based app company Big Blimp has just launched an Android app that lets you earn up to £30 a month, just by making your normal phone calls.

Every time a user tries to make a phone call, the app checks the Call Rewards system to see if it is possible to earn money on the number being dialled. If there is revenue available, the app securely and privately routes the call through the Call Rewards system. Call Rewards get paid by the mobile networks for handling the calls, and they then pass this money straight to the users. The revenue earned depends on the type of number being dialled, the network and tariff the user is on, and the amount of calls they make.

Call Rewards can make up to £30 a month or more if you share the app with friends, however this rate is only available to users with an EE contract and a specific unlimited 08 number booster. Money earned through the app is paid out monthly, providing a £1 threshold is met. Any unclaimed or unpaid money is rolled over to the following month. Payments are made via PayPal or bank transfer.

Forgive my scepticism, but where does cash come from? Why do the networks pay you to route calls through your system? It seems like an unnecessary expense for them?

Being sceptical is always healthy. Our parent company is a London based telecoms company with thoasands of different number ranges, they receive money from the telephone networks whenever these numbers are used.

The app routes calls through either the 03 or 0872 number ranges, when you make a call (the number used will be different depending on what mobile network you use and if you have an unlimited 08 number pack on your contract).

Calls using our app are included in your contract minutes, so there is no additional cost to the user.

Once we receive payment from the mobile networks, the revenue is shared with our users.
