So I was put on hold and I hear the lady speaking, go to verizonwirless.com/ipad blah blah.. does this mean apple and Verizon made the deal and pretty much confirms the iphone, or am i behind sorry if so

No, it hasn't confirmed the iphone. It just merely states that VZW stores (as well as AT&T stores) will now be selling the ipad. VZW will only have the wifi capable model, or so they say.
