Calls from my Voice Mail

Datrebor

Lurker
Today I started getting calls from my voice mail. At least the phone says that. They claim to be from Microsoft and my IP address has be compromised in several countries. That I need to punch 1 to be connected to a tech. Its not like I can block my own voice mail number to block these calls. And there is no way am I going to punch 1 at all. What can I do about these calls? Thanks.

It's all spammers, spoofing your vm number.
Install a call blocker app such as YouMail, truecaller, etc... From the play store.
I stick with YouMail and blocks everything I tell it

So you're suggesting the OP block their own phone number?
It's not their number, it's a spoofing of their voicemail's number--the number THEY call to get their VM. Blocking that number from coming *IN* has no effect on them being able to call it to retrieve their messages.

And, by the way, I recently blocked my own number on my landline. (I wrote about it in some thread around here.) I'd been getting calls spoofing my landline number, on my landline, and blocking it was my solution. I haven't heard from myself since. :D
