Calls to Google voice on my bill

Anyone know why I would get a lot of calls to my google voice number on my bill? I never actually call my voicemail. I always use the gv app to read the transcription of listen to the message play if I can't understand the transcription.

No. No one knows my gv number. I only use gv for voicemail.

But I don't use that number for anything. There should be no calls to or from my gv number. I only use it for voicemail.

I think I just figured it out. Could it be people leaving me a voicemail?

How the GV voicemail works is that your phone is forwarding missed calls to it which would show up on your bill as you calling your GV number.

yeah my bill has 2 numbers on it:

My GVoice number for incoming calls and the 850 number for outgoing. They are on my friends and family.
