Camera button

Is there a way to disable that stupid button? I hate the location of it.

Also, is there some kind of slide-to-unlock feature for these phones? I know we have the slide security pad thing, but I was wondering more along the lines of the iPhone and Droid... slide a button across the screen to unlock.

I tried Lock 2.0 but my phone wouldn't go to sleep. Also if you press any button while it's in your pocket, it brings up the slide/lock screen and burns precious battery life .... not for me.
