Camera freezing

need more info that that.. :)

are you rooted:
carrier?
are you using a memory card?
has this always happened since day one of owing the device?
can you take snapshots ok?
can you stream video ok?

do you have any 3rd party video apps (google camera, etc,)?

T-Mobile
No memory card
Yes since day one
Yes snapshots are fine.
It's when recording is when it does it only


No add-on apps.
 
perhaps you have low memory that is preventing you from taking videos.

what are you video settings? try to use the lowest video settings just to test.

also, can you send an mms video via text? do you use whatsapp? what about instagram? see if you can use a friend and attempt to send a test video through those apps....

I haven't changed anything on the camera app so far. I can send MMS videos fine. Cleared cache of all stuff related to the camera and good so far. But I have noticed sometimes with pulling up videos on Facebook or Google photos my video quality is kinda glitchy with some purple blotchy stuff for a few secs then goes away.
 
That sounds like typical buffering issues since it “clears up” once its loaded.

Facebook always has issues, just search on this forum.
