Help Camera keeps opening

Okay guys, so iv had my x10 for a little over a year now and my camera just started randomly opening. when im texting or when im playing games whatever really..... help? please?

I suggest trying the following to resolve this issue.

Menu > Settings > Privacy > Factory Data reset ( note: this will remove all data from the handsets memory but will not touch a memory card or SIM card).

Just to be sure, you do not have a third party case on your handset that may be interfering with the camera button?

Try this....from the main menu, pick settings/applications/manage applications/find the camera app and select it, then select "clear data" and then reboot.

okay, so i did the reset, yet its still doing it. im getting really frustrated

As far as I know there is really only one additional option. After performing a factory reset create a new google account to use with the phone.
This will make sure that it isn't an application problem, as none of the downloaded ones will be reinstalled.
If it is still open you have a hardware problem. If it isn't you have some applications that are not behaving well.

If he's rooted he can uninstall the camera app and reinstall it
