Camera problem Superpad

Hi, I have the camera problem with green interference lines rather than a picture. On this forum and elsewhere I have seen this can be solved on rooted devices using ConnectBot and screen rotation commands.

I do not know if my device, a Flytouch 3 clone I believe, can be rooted or provided with firmware such as Tim

There are fixes given on this forum such as upgrading to Tim's firmware but none are advised for this model, p1001r. I don't want to brick it by testing.

It appears I've been dudded as I bought was was advertized as a Flytouch 3. I do not believe there is such a model. I know a lot more now than I did when I purchased, but you do expect to receive what you paid for. The first problem was the box said Superpad. Upon enquiry about this I was told:

"here again dear custom
it's "Flytouch" indeed
the mark of "SuperPad" on box is printed by our supplier that distinguish products only
as the screen,it's resistive touch screen only
so the speed may be a littler slow and you need to touch with your fingernail
as to the Youtube,i wonder what format of video you play?
if you can try with AVI format to try?

Youtube doesn't work through the browser, which you really want, Had to get a Youtube apk from the market instead, like many.

Of course, eBay is reeeally, reeeeally, interested in my problem.
 
I've seen your problem before. Good deals are often too good. I know that doesn't help you any.. or the others (many) that have fallen between the hard spot and the rock. Your might try presenting your problem in our general Android discussion area being as we don't have an exact device support/root area. Some very clever and helpful people in there that might have something for you. I do hope you can manage to make your tab more to your liking with the help of these forums. Hi SS, nothing happened.
But...unbelievably after all this time.. the vendor came back with the flash file for p1001r . See below:

"hi so sorry for the inconvenience
finally we upload the software to the website
http://www.tomtop.com/download/C1210.rar
and when you upload it
please upload it to your SD card(an clear card with out anything else in)
before you open the tablet pc
plug the SD card to your tablet pc
and then open it

then it will update the software automatically
please keep me informed

I've now come back to the task. I saved the .rar file to the micro sd and extracted it, getting:

a folder called .android_secure
a folder called LOST.DIR
a folder with chinese characters: 飞触3电阻基本款自动识别容量

Opening the chinese folder gives the folder: V2.0_android2.3_10inch_rtp_no3g_gpsImapx_realtek_512M_hy4g_gc0308_es_explore_20111124

Opening that folder gives 5 files

ramdisk.img 260 KB
system.img 169 MB
uImage 2.5MB
uImage_au 2.5MB
userdata.img


What do I do to make the sd card flash the pad on startup?
 
Just repeated the extraction of the .rar and now get a sixth file appearing called zSYS.img

My original question remains. I've extracted the .rar to the micro-SD and switched on to normal boot up. Flash is not apparent and the original camera problem remains. The Chinese are on holiday.

Hi lucannus,
i solve my problem, my tablet was bricked and now it's working.
what i did:
1- Download the .rar archieve that you you posted a link here.
2- descompact tha .rar on your pc
3- search about a software called winhex (it's a software that turn a sd card in a bootable sd card specific to tablets).
4- on your pc, use the winhex on a sd card. (i used a 2GB sd and after formatted by a winhex the sd become with only 700MB of space on it).
5- Create a folder on your sd formatted by winhex, named "android" (without quotes).
6- copy the files inside the C1210.rar descompacted, only the files, no one folder, to the folder android, that you created on your sd card.
7- then put the sd in your tablet (my is p1001r too), and power on your device.

The process is all automatic and run with 5 - 10 minutes. after finished, power off your tablet, take out your sd card of it and turn on the tablet again. It's done!!!
My cam works fine now!!

Actually, my tablet was bricked, and only after i found the C1210.rar that you posted here i solved my problem. So, Thank you!!!
The winhex software is easy to find and the tutorials of use it are easy too!!!
Sorry, but i'm not american and have a poor english, so forgive my english ok?
