Camera problem??? :(

So I had my frist real test for my GS3 this weekend. I went out on a very sunny day to a park and took some shot and TBH.. I was very disappointed.. Like 7 out of 10 shot would be shaky even with anti shake on. I had ISO in auto and all the quality on the highest. it will only take a good photo under bright sunlight. if I step into even just a lil bit of shadow it will be all shaky for some reason and the picture quality goes right down.. And some shots are just way too soft in focus even tho on the screen before the shot it looked sharp.. Anyone else not impressed with GS3's camera or is it just me?

Not enough light = higher ISO and longer exposure times = shake is more likly to happen. It does not matter what camera you have, in these conditions the same thing will happen and if you are unable to hold it still for 0.5s, it is going to smear.

Haven't had any problems with mine, takes better pics than my Droid X did. They aren't DSLR quality pics, but they work. Came in really handy when I was shopping around for all my new furniture, took lords of indoor pics of sofas and chairs and tables and stuff to compare, and seemed like the pics all came out fine.

mine takes great pics, i'm happy with it. i've played with all the scenes and effects and it works great.

my s3 takes great pics especially in HDR mode this balances the exposure
maybe try to keep still when taking pic at lower shutter speeds

Haven't had any issues with my camera. Naturally, wish indoor photos were better, but outside are great.
As far as shaky pictures, this may seem real elementary, but I have found how you hold the camera & take the shot really impacts the picture. Hold the phone a little above waist with both hands, elbows tucked into side, use thumb or better yet voice (cheese, snap) commands.
If you still have issues with shaky pictures try setting the timer. It really does work because when you press the shutter button & it waits for a couple seconds to take the photo, the phone restablilizes itself whereas when you press the shutter button your finger is moving the phone when timer not on.

A couple of questions before I can offer help...
What were you shooting?
Did you have luck with the camera before the shoot in the park?

( with it being sunny you shouldn't have problem with blur unless your hands are really shaky, or your subject is moving to quickly.)

i was taking photos of my frnd. It was super sunny day and photos that are shot in direct sun light were ok but if I took a photo inside the shadow it will be shaky and soft.. and im not talking about super dark shadows either... just like under the trees on a sunny day...

Sounds like you have a dud camera. Mine performs great. Even in low light. it even takes superb photos at night with the LED on. Couldn't be happier.
