Help Camera quality is extremely poor campared to front camera.

QR codes and pretty much any picture I take is always blurry no matter what I do in the settings. I've checked for film covers and it is removed. Barcode scanner cannot function at all. However when I switch to the front facing camera for webcam use/etc, it's crystal clear up to an inch close. What is going on with this thing? I can't recall if it's always been this way but I've only had it a few months. This cannot be normal...

Its not normal... assuming the lenses is clean, either the lenses is bad or more likely the camera module is out of place. I would contact your carrier or LG for a warranty replacement or repair.

Out of numerous Android phones I've used, the G2 is by far the best. And with image stabilization, you shouldn't have too many problems with blur.

Well I'm getting that it isn't anything software related. I'll be bringing it in Monday for the camera to be looked at. Bummer. But thanks for the replies.

Well I did a factory reset and lost all my settings and texts on my phone for no reason. Bringing it in now. With my luck, this will have been something fixable without resetting my phone.

That is exactly what a factory reset will do... wipe the phone back to the condition it was in when it left the factory, hence the name of it

Honestly, if the camera is still acting up after that, you most likely need a replacement unit.

The whole point of doing a factory reset before you bring the phone in is that is the first thing they are going to do and you have to wait while they do it. If you do it first you walk out in minutes with a new phone.
