I want to switch off camera shutter sound on my Qmobile A8 android 4.0.4 Icecream Sandwich. I am expecting root which is not a problem but I want to do it without rooting. Any suggestions?

The camera sounds are located in the /System partition. If you can find an app that can change the sound without rooting, good on you. Otherwise, rooting is how I changed mine. This probably isn't the answer you wanted to hear, but that's what I've got
