Help Camera won't focus after lollipop upgrade

I'm so bummed. I've already messed with all the settings. Anyone else having this issue? I used to get a green circle focus confirmation, that's gone.

There are literally thousands, if not millions of variables and combinations of apps, data, and configurations on people's phones. Google and Samsung can't anticipate all of them. So if you have an issue, first thing you need to do is backup, then factory reset to wipe away any code or data that might be causing issues.

As it happens, my Lollipop update went smoothly. But I did a factory reset and started clean anyway as this is a big change to the coding of Android. It runs great...and although I wasn't a fan of the white background in apps, it has grown on me and the visual appeal and smoothness of Lollipop has impressed me. Since it is used mostly like KitKat, it's just a cosmetic change for the average user - even though there is a large change to the code underneath.

I'm happy with the update and it runs well.

I backed up my phone and did a factory reset. My camera still can't focus. Now I'm stuck waiting for a fix update.

I understand what you mean now...the focus circle doesn't flash to green when it's fully focused. I almost missed that part...mine doesn't have the green confirmation flash either. I can live with that as it focuses accurately, but it would be nice to have the green circle though.

So i updated my phone today and my camera will not work. I restored the factory settings but it still says camera failed. Any assiatance greatly appreciated.

I also the green ring and 'beep' focus confirmation after the update to Lollipop (Android Version 5.0). I have scanned forums and tried all suggestions without success. The camera was working 100% before this and was one of the most useful and frequently used apps on my Samsung Galaxy S5.
Can anyone help, please?

I also have lost focus since my "upgrade" to Lollipop. Missed a beautiful Blue Moon scene last night... I am looking for a camera app that has a functioning manual focus as a workaround until Google can fix this issue - ruins the entire camera function, and that is a big problem.
