Help Camera zoom Galaxy S Advance

Hi!
I own a Samsung Galaxy S Advance running on Android Gingerbread. When I use the camera, I am unable to zoom. When I use the volume up/down button to zoom in and out, only the ringer volume is getting changes. I tried doing this with adjusting the resolution, still the same result. Please help me on how to use zoom function in Galaxy S Advance.

unfortunately you can't zoom with the pre-installed camera app. You can zoom with other camera apps from google play though.
