Camera

"last update" for what, the computer or the phone? Maybe a connection or driver problem with the computer not recognising it? I don't use Windows myself though, so can't really help you more.

Is the DCIM folder still visible on the phone itself, using the Files app? Are the pics taken with the camera still in the Gallery app?

Are you sure you're in the correct storage location? Both your internal and external storage (microSD card) have a DCIM folder. When I connect my Note 9 to Windows, my photos are in SDcard -- DCIM -- Camera because my camera is set to save to the card. Double-check that.

Sounds like it could be that a setting has changed with the update and you are now not connecting fully to the PC.

Before you make a connection to the computer make sure your phone is unlocked, now plug it in as normal and wait for an on screen popup message asking if you wish your share your files with your PC. If you don't get the popup pull down the shade at the top of the screen and select USB options and select "Transferring Files" from the options.

This should allow your files to be seen by your PC.
