Is it possible to have a text app with ems animated emoticons? Or is it a system update thingy... since having my desire this is something I miss :(
 
It is possible to an extent, however, the emoticons would only show to those who were using the same texting app. If you were using your own custom-made SMS app, and you texted someone who was using a OEM texting app (Say, Htc Sense SMS app), then although you would see the emoticons in your message, the person receiving the files--using the HTC Sense SMS app--would not see them.

Right thanks jon for your reply and clearing that up ;) so would I be right in thinking that it would not be possible to design an app that can accept Sony Ericsson or Samsung animated emoticons?
