Can a music app do this?

I've been using Astro Player but I'm not completely satisfied and am wondering if there is a better option.

Here is a list of what I would want the perfect player to do:
1. Play music in a ma4 format, not just mp3 files. Most of mine was converted to ma4 when I ripped my old CDs to iTunes.
2. Switch back and forth between playlists without losing my place. (This is the problem I'm having in Astro Player; I'm working around by using bookmarks and going to the bookmark rather than the selection.)
3. Allow me to set up a playlist of music, play the first selection and work down in order to the last, then stop. I would need to be able to switch to a different playlist several times and then go back to the selection where I left off.
4. As a bonus, it would be great if it would automatically sync music from selected iTunes playlists. Right now, I am manually moving the music from the playlist(s) to the SD card. It works fine but the other would be a tad easier.

It's possible Astro Player would do all this if I could solve the problem mentioned in #2 above; I simply haven't played with it enough. I know the stock music player doesn't play the ma4 files -- at least it doesn't list them, so I assume it doesn't like them.

Look forward to your suggestions.
