Can a Smartwear watch vibrate with reminders?

I am considering buying a smartwatch, probably the ASUS Zenwatch, to go with my Galaxy Note 3. One of the things I want it to do is to be able to set reminders, and when it is time to remind me, I would want the watch to vibrate in addition to popping up the reminder card.

If all it did was pop up a card, I might miss seeing it unless I happen to glance at the watch. The vibration would get my attention. Can this be done? (I wouldn't want all notifications to vibrate, just reminders and perhaps texts and missed calls.)

(Sorry about the title. I mean Android Wear watch, not Smartwear watch).

I would assume the zen watch works similar to others. My Moto360 vibrates along with the cards. It does get annoying sometimes, especially if I'm busy ad i get a lit of notifications.
 
Thanks! That helps. I can see how it would get annoying to get a watch vibration every time the phone gets a notification.

Is there some way to control which notifications vibrate on the watch vs. merely show up on the watch face? Better yet, is there a way to control which phone notifications get sent to the watch (perhaps only reminders, texts, missed phone calls, etc.)? I suspect there isn't or you would be doing it.
