Since the marshmallow upsate, Sammy lock the bootloader for that device. There may be systemless root methods like KingRoot and you'd be able to flash Roms with FlashFire (by chainfire, dev who made superSU). However I'm not a fan of these one-click root kits, they come with bloatware and there's not always a method to reverse what you've done.
