can droid play music from aux?

Hi. I was wondering if the motorola droid can play music from another media player I.e. an ipod if I connect an auxiliary cord to them both. Maybe an app or something? Like an input from the headphone jack instead of just output.

You should be able to play music through just the headphone port to the aux port on the car stereo.

If you can't do that and your car has a tape player, feed it through with the tape to headphone jack set up - or buy an FM transmitter (thats what I use)

I think he wants to use the droid as the speaker for a seperate media player.

Yes that's exactly what I wanted to know. I already know how to use it in a car.

Yes I plugged in my ipod into my droid and nothing happened with it playing.. I thought there would be an app to do it

I'm pretty sure that it's not possible. The headphone jack only does output.

I'm wondering why would you like to make your phone into a speaker? I would rather buy those $15 speakers at any electronic stores and connect that to your MP3 player. It would sound better than in the phone's speaker.
