Help Can I create an Android drive on my laptop?

Hi, all my friends are saving themselves a fortune by buying Android boxes and watching worldwide live TV for nothing.
Sadly, I can't because
a) my TV is too old and doesn't have an HDMI socket
b) the box won't broadcast through my laptop cos the socket is only OUTward, not INward. Even a TV tuner dongle I bought and connected won't work.

I seem to remember that you can create an Android drive within your computer. If so, I could then install all my APKs in it and use it as an internal "Android box" without needing to buy one.

Is this right and does anyone know know how to do it? Thanks!

Thanks folks. I found a programme called Bluestacks, which allows me to activate apk files inside it instead of creating a new drive. Is there any reason not to use it? it seems to do everything except one thing, which is to allow me to watch the TV shows afterwards or to download them
But so far it's working ok. Thanks again
