Nope. It's TTS. There's not a good way to change voices like you would with an app that actually uses sound clips. If you have the option, try changing the TTS settings and you'll see that changing the gender, language, etc still produces a very robotic-sounding voice no matter what the options are set to.
See if another GPS nav app offers what you're looking for. I haven't run across anything myself so far.
