Root Can i root/get cyanogenmod on my Galaxy s5 G900V?

I've been wanting to get cyanogenmod because i always hear that it makes the phone a lot faster and i can get rid of the crappy bloatware on the phone. So... my phone is the:

Verizon Galaxy S5 (G900V)
Android version 5.0
Kernel version 3.4.0

I have never rooted an android phone before so i was wondering if someone knew a link to a video or instructions somewhere on how to do this for my specific phone

The simple and quick answer is... No. The G900V is unrootable thanks to Verizon. See, here.

Verizon made their firmware's unrootable when Android 4.4.4 was launched over 16 months ago. This is why users had to downgrade to 4.4.2 to root. No one has found a way to root in all that time. Now Verizon have prevented the ability to downgrade to 4.4.2. So, I guess the answer is... no!

Rooting on the S5 and S4 and S6 as well as other manufacturers makes and models running Verizon's own firmware, is now history. If it's any consolation, AT&T has done the same on their cloneware. See #1.6 of 41 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide

Make no mistake... this has nothing whatsoever to do with Google or Samsung. This is all down to your carrier shoving the rough end of a pineapple where the sun don't shine!
