Can I set a repeat notification?

Does anyone know how I can set a repeat notification on incoming text messages on my CAT S30 phone, please?

Use a different SMS app that includes repeat notifications as an option. I can see that Chomp and Textra do, and imagine others do too.

Thanks for the quick reply Hadron. I'll check out your suggestions for an app. I'm guessing from your reply that there is no inbuilt option on the S30 to do this? I couldn't find one!

Part of my problem is that the S30 has been supplied to me as part of an emergency response set-up for call-outs. We are told not to download third-party apps to it. In a noisy environment day-time and during the night, I think I might miss the notification sound on an incoming alert as it only happens once. I suspect they haven't thought this one through thoroughly before buying the kit for us!

I've never handled an S30, so can't say for sure, but if it had the option it would be in the message app's notification settings. The stock message app is one of the things that it chosen by the manufacturer, so varies between phones. I really doubt that the people who make these choices gave even a second's thought to this feature, and even if they had there would be no way of finding out without getting hold of one and looking at the app - it's a level of detail way below what would be documented. If they were bought for emergency response call-outs the toughness of the phone was probably the primary factor in the choice.

I can understand them discouraging people from installing their own apps on it, but if the pre-installed software doesn't do this I can't think of any other way.

Thanks again for the reply. I've had a look through the message app's settings again and can find no way to set a repeat notification option.

Yes, robustness of the S30 was a selection factor, I understand. I'll contact the emergency outfit that I'm part of and suggest they might like to research and recommend an appropriate app.

Thanks for the advice
