Can I trade in my LG Spirit & use the credit towards the Alcatel Tablet?

I bought a Zmax back in March and MPCS gave me a $90 credit without a trade-in, so I still have my LG Spirit that has a trade-in value of $99

Since I have the ZMax, I was wondering if I could trade in my LG Spirit for $99 credit towards the Alcatel tablet and NOT get any kind of data plan on it, claiming I will just use it on Wi-Fi.

Or maybe trade it in for credit on my monthly plan?

I think the only way you'll be able to get one and not put a data plan on it, will be to buy it online and then just not activate it. 'Course, the you wouldn't be able to try for a credit with the LG Spirit.

Is your Spirit still active? If you deactivated your Spirit, you cannot get the trade in credit. It has to be a phone that is in use.
