While I didn't take the time to read the whole article, it seem that the Beacon Manager is an app, built into Samsung phones, the is included to detect iBeacons.Hi to all, scrolling through my app's I found this and the paranoia has set in "what is this app for" running on my Samsung phone "Beacon Manager version 3.0.7240061" If anyone can put my mind at rest I would be very grateful.

No NOT that grateful before you ask LOL.
I think it has something to do with Bluetooth....my wife's S6 has that I believe...
Perhaps someone can verify my thoughts
Edit: let me add that I think it's nothing to worry about.
Yeah, not a heck of alot of info for it aside from a couple sites, of which @kct1975 linked. Thanks for the reply I searched Google before I posted it returned nothing found! so you could be right.
I stopped it running when I found it and thought I will wait until I checked it out or some services failed,
It has some serious permissions as to why I stopped it in paranoia : )
