Help Can I upgrade to a newer version of Android?

I recently purchased a Tile key finder which uses an app to locate your keys. I wasn't aware that it requires Android 4.4.2 or higher (KitKat or Lollipop) and my Alcatel One Touch has version 4.1.2. Is there a way to upgrade or am I stuck with this version?

Think you might be stuck with 4.1.2 Jellybean actually, if that's what it came with. Alcatels (manufactured by TCL) really are budget phones, and as such usually never get updated beyond what they came with.

Thanks for the help. Since my model (5020N) is not even listed, I guess that means it can't be upgraded.

Years ago I had a Motorola Triumph that I installed Cyanogenmon 9-20130415 on. Is there any chance that there's a more recent release of Cyanogenmod that would be similar to Android 4.4.2 or higher that I could install on my One Touch which would allow me to use my Tile key finder?

I'm not particularly tech savvy, but I found is a thread here that explained with simple step-by-step instructions how to install Cyanogenmod and it fact that old Motorola Triumph is still working. Just a thought.

Yes, I realize that it's time to upgrade my phone, but I am frugal and try to squeeze every bit of use from all my devices.

Is that the Evolve? If so try asking here. I have had a quick look on XDA and looks like root is possible (and I think custom recovery) but it is not a well known device so couldn't see ROMs for that model after a quick look, but scour through and see.

Hi guys,
Please tell me if I will be able to upgrade android version from 2.2.1 to 2.3.5 on my Samsung Galaxy Ace in 2021 as well. Which way is the best? I want to do a factory reset. I suppose it sets back android to 2.2.1 also. My phone is 10 years old and now the android
version is 2.3.5.Thanks in advance!
