can i use my sd card to increase internal storage in huawei with android OS v4.2

i am haveing huawei g610 android phone.
Android OS, v4.2


i am having extreme problem with my internal storage and apps are not get updated due to insufficient storage.

i purchased 32 gb sd card to use some part of it to increase internal storage of my mobile phone.


is Android OS, v4.2 and this phone compatible for all this work ?

please can some one guide me that which size should be of FAT32 and EXT2 partitions to use SD card to increase iinternal storage

i have 32 GB sd card.
 
Try Link2SD app, they have detailed guide for you. You can try the free version first, if everything works well you should buy the full version so you can move everything to SD card.

please can you tell me which partition phone used for internal memory and which one for internal storage

FAT32 is read/write for windows operating system

ext2 is read/write for linux system

so android uses which file system for internal memory and which one for internal storage

I didn't use Windows to create partitions on the card, the app come with built-in tools for this task. The principle is simple, you need to create two partitions on the card with one being Ext2 and the other being Fat32. The app will use the Ext2 partition to store data, other apps don't have permission to share this partition with Link2SD.
 
Please note that the document recommends that the first partition should be Fat32 and the second partition should be Ext2.

if this is the case as you told then FAT32 will be used for what ?

FAT 32 will be used to store already previous data of sd card ?


is it worth then to make equal partitions of 15 gb each on sd card of 32 gb ?


please advise

The Fat32 partition will be seen by your phone as a regular SD card, you can store your own files and images on it.

No you don't need to create two equal partitions, I set the Ext2 partition on my card to 6Gb and the rest of the card is used as a regular SD card. It completely depends on your own need.
 
Just to edit an information, Link2SD doesn't come with partition tools like I wrote above, the tool I used is called Gparted and it's a separate app.

I recommend this tool because you don't need a computer. You can try as many times as you want right from your device.

So you need Link2SD and Gparted for the job.

actually i have huawei g610 with 4gb internal memory and SD CARD of 8 gb.

i moved apps to sd card in past . i have left 33 mb of free space on internal storage and getting
storage error message and i cannot install new apps neither update old apps.

i purchased a new card of 32 gb and made 2 partitions of equal 15 gb with mini partiton tool wizard by connecting sd card to my computer

so as i am doing in this case internal storage will become 15 gb ( ext2 partition from sd card ) + 4 gb ( mobile original memory) ........ so it will become 15 + 4 = 19 gb internal storage


am i right ?

Kind of, but not exactly because they are different in nature, you don't have the same read/write speed on the SD card and internal memory.

what do u suggest do i make partition of ext2 or ext4 type ?

It's not important, if Ext2 works for you then use it, otherwise try Ext3 or Ext4, the app just needs a non-Fat partition to hide the data so it won't be overwritten by other apps.

i did fat 32 and ext2 partitions , made backup of my old sd card ( copied old sd card backup in new sd card fat 32 partition)
inserted in phone and installed link2sd app




now i am getting error

mount script can not be created not allowed to su

can any one help

Is your phone rooted?

If not, you have to root your phone first.

can i use terminal emulator app to increase internal storage of my mobile with same partions as above ?


i think i dont need to root my phone for that.

Did you try Framaroot posted above?

Your Huawei phone is listed as compatible.

Anyway rooting your phone using apps is generally safe. You could try the app of your choice.

i installed Kingo SuperUser [ROOT] on my android phone but it is looking quite scary to execute/run this app .

It's up to you, I've tried almost any app I could find, there is no problem whatsoever, it will root your phone or it will simply quit.
