Can I use Samsung find my phone with blocked SIM card?

Hi all,

Just setting up my security measures on my S5 and figured if my phone got lost/stolen I would want to contact my carrier and get them to block my SIM card ASAP. But would this stop the Samsung "find my phone" service from working? Will a blocked SIM card in a phone prevent the GPS and/or remote connect service from working?

It depends, if Samsung's method is carrier-independent you can have your SIM card blocked as soon as possible.

A blocked SIM card won't interfere with other functions like GPS or Wi-Fi.
