Can No Longer Connect to E-mail Accounts

Hello there, first time poster here. I am having a recent issue with my Droid Charge phone. For those not familiar, it was one of the first 4G Androids released a few years back.

I've utilized this phone for e-mail for years, using the native "Email" application. I have a Gmail account and a Hotmail account that I use for business and personal stuff.

On either 4/3 or 4/4, all of my e-mail accounts stopped auto-updating. They are set to auto-sync. I tried manually refreshing, and even though it looked like it was refreshing the inbox, it wasn't pushing new e-mails through. I tried deleting each e-mail account and re-adding them, but it appears that it won't even let me do that now. I'm now getting the error "Cannot connect to server" when trying to add any e-mail account. I get this error when trying to re-add my Hotmail or Gmail accounts, which previously worked fine.

So, what changed? I haven't done any software updates or installed any new applications. My internet connection is fine, I can surf the web and access Hotmail or Gmail via the Browser with no problems. I've tried restarting my phone and resetting settings. I'm out of ideas.

Delete your email accounts (from your phone). Clear the app data. Restart. Add them back. Make sure the usernames and passwords are correct. Refresh. Let me know if it works for you!
