Help Can no longer write to SD

Hi,

Recently I have stopped being able to write to my SD card. It seems to have happened randomly and even when plugged into my computer, I cannot explore the SD card although it is recognised. When I try to take a picture (which by default saves to SD) the photo is not saved. If I try to move files from internal storage to SD, the files are instead deleted (I'm using the Files Go app to do this). However, files previously saved on the SD can be read on my phone- for example saved mp3 files are still playable. Does anyone know how to fix this? And if I do need a new SD, how can I backup the files currently on the SD, considering that my computer cannot read it?

Cheers.

Have you tried a wifi solution like AirDroid? A while back a user had a similar issue which was mediated by using airdroid.

Maybe worth a shot. It could help to explore the SD card on your pc and retrieve your data.

Another thing. Is it possible that it's a corrupt SD card. Some SD card bootlegs from ebay for example report more capacity then they actually have. Not saying you have a bootleg, just throwing stuff out there.
