The phone says running out of space, how much space does it need to update a 30mb program? Surely not 500mb. I reset the system cache and it has not helped. So the phone configuration is frozen, no updates, nothing can be installed.
What should be done?
Play store says it needs to free u8p hundreds of mb's to update a tiny updatesize 30mb program. So the phone says about 30 apps need to update and it cant do any of them. I tried deleting somes apps, facebook freed up 300 mb, weather channel 75 mb, and it is not enough. I can keep deleting apps, but something seems real wrong to me.

). I'm not going to justify the thresholds the manufacturers have chosen: I have used devices where the corresponding threshold was 15MB (where the device only had 147MB of /data partition in total!), and suspect that for most users you could safely set it lower than they do - though some apps are capable of caching a lot of data very quickly, so I suspect they tend to play safe. In any event, there's no point arguing about that, because you cannot change it unless you are going to root your phone and find a ROM that's been built with a lower threshold.
