Can not send text messages.

I guess the title says it all, every time I try and send a text message, I get a "Failed to Send".
Do I have to enable something in the settings first?
Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks

I guess we can start by asking your carrier and that you have mobile signal. SMS messages only work over mobile networks or where Calling / Texting of WiFi is enabled. However, if you are sending MMS messages, either by attaching multimedia (pictures, emoji, etc.) to the message or using a third party app there may be other things to check.

Anyway, lets start with your carrier and if you have signal.

I have done that, and the carrier sent me a text, and got mine in return. But then I try to send to someone else, and get "Failed".

Try installing a different messaging app, such as Textra from the play store and post your results
