Help Can Odin flash a backed up /data partition?

What I mean is if I backed up my device's /data partition to a .img and packed it into a .tar file, will Odin flash it, or would my device have to have a custom recovery to do that. I want to 'test' this on my GT-P3113 since it's kind of a lab rat at this point and I won't really care all that much if it gets bricked or broken.

P.S: I know that said device does have TWRP and CWM available for it and I know both can backup and restore your /data partition, but I want to know if Odin can.
