Can someone explain what the "corporate mail" feature of Verizon's plan does?

I am trying to figure out if I need the corporate email add on to access my Exchange email. I turned it off yesterday and I can get email but push seems to be slower. Does anyone know what the corporate email feature actually does?

Thanks!

As far as I know, it just allows them to charge you more for an unlimited data plan, at least that's the way it was in the past.

They will also work with you to set up an exchange account. Not really worth it IMO if you have a good IT department that will help set it up for you. The biggest problem is knowing company domain names and whether or not you need specific certificates.

There are 3rd party apps that will work with a self-signed cert if that's what your server is using. If your server isn't using a certificate at all? That's just wrong and your IT peep needs to be popped in the back of the head.

Yeah, it's pretty useless. I was able to cut my bill a bunch and keep my unlimited data by eliminating that. I have noticed no change in functionality.

How did you manage that? Online I see no option to drop from the $45 plan to anything that is still unlimited.

EDIT: Okay, managed to get it changed by calling VZW, piece of cake.
