can someone help me with videos/tv

Im a bit of a novice but have managed to work alot of things out abt my HTC desire through this website but im struggling with playing online tv and videos as well as downloading films onto my phone.
Firstly im a fan of channel 4 on demand and I tried to watch something a box comes up which says-

'shockwave flash- there is not enough free memory to display this flash content' -

Does this simply mean that I need a bigger micro SD card as I have only got the 4GB one enclosed with the phone, if it is as simple as that then could get an 8 or 16 GB microcard??
Next problem is watching online films ( for example from blinkbox.com), I can watch these on my laptop but my phone wont play them- do I have to install a special player to get these to work ????

And finally Im I right in thinking there is nt an app like the iphone in which you can click and buy movies on the HTC desire ???? If not how do I download movies onto my phone or maybe download them on my laptop and transfer them to my phone????
You will have already gathered that Im not a techy so please could you answer in the IDIOTS GUIDE please. Much thanks to any help xx

Android currently doesn't have Flash support, so about the only online videos you'll be able to watch are through Youtube. You can load video files onto your phone from your PC and play them using a free app called Video Player. A program called Handbrake can be downloaded to your PC to help with converting videos to play on your phone.

I have the same issue with an HTC Desire trying to run flash from Ted.com. I have checked with whatismyflash.com and it tells me I have Flash Player 10.1.123. It should work--or am I missing something really important here?
