Can Tasker turn on phone and run app when headphones plugged?

Does anyone know if/how it is possible using Tasker to have the phone turn on and run an app whenever headphones are inserted? I've found the event for "headphones plugged" but I can't find an action that will turn on the phone when it's in sleep mode.

For some reason it doesn't.
My profile is defined as:
Context: State - Headset plugged
-> Task: Load add - BeyondPod

When I connect the headphones nothing happens, whether the phone is on or off. It's an HTC Desire Z. Is there any reason that the headphone plugged event might not be recognised/triggered?

It's possible that it's not recognizing the headset being plugged in. I would recommend adding a Vibrate action to the task so you can tell if it's running even if the screen is off. This should help narrow down where the problem lies.

Task:
Display -> "Turn On"

If you want Tasker to actually power-on the phone, then that won't happen.. Even if you're rooted, that won't happen...

OK this is really embarrassing - I hadn't noticed the on/off button in the corner was set to "off". It's now turned on and everything is fine.
Thanks for the input in any case.
